What is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is the breakthrough medical practice that
allows patients a non-invasive remedy to a variety of
conditions.
Mesotherapy treats cellulite
Mesotherapy treats unwanted fat
Mesotherapy treats wrinkles and aging of the skin
Mesotherapy treats sagging skin
Mesotherapy treats aged hands
Mesotherapy treats excess skin or fat on the neck
How Does Mesotherapy Work?
Mesotherapy is the micro-injection of traditional medication,
homeopathic medication, and vitamins into the mesoderm,
or middle layer of skin, acting as a "medicinal
bullet" that is delivered directly to a target
in the body. Orally administered medication, on the
other hand, is distributed throughout the body. Mesotherapy
allows a much smaller does of the same medicine to be
injected directly at the site of the problem, into the
skin, with the skin acting as an efficient time-release
delivery sytstem. Mesotherapy works by stimulating
the body to heal itself in those targeted areas.
The Mesotherapy technique was forumulated in 1952 by
Dr. M. Pistor in France, and was recognized by the French
National Academy of Medicine in 1986. Dr. Lionel Bissoon
has been practicing Mesotherapy since 1999 and has pioneered
its acceptance in the United States.
Mesotherapy for Getting
Rid of Cellulite
Mesotherapy can be used to eliminate cellulite on the
legs and buttocks. By repairing the connective tissue,
shrinking the fat cells and increasing circulation,
Mesotherapy can rid these areas of the "orange
peel" like skin, thus revealing a smoother and
more even -toned appearance. The average patient generally
requires 10-15 weekly treatments in order to achieve
these results.
Mesotherapy for Weight Loss
and Spot Reduction
The same principles that allow Mesotherapy to eliminate
cellulite can be used to rid other areas of the body
of excess fat. Mesotherapy can be used to eliminate
double chins, "love handles" and any other
area where your body pockets fat. Mesotherapy is
a vast improvement over other treatments such as liposuction
because it is a non-surgical procedure that does
not require hospital admittance, general anesthesia,
or downtime. The fat deposits flush out of specific
areas and the body does not gain the weight back in
other ares, which often happens after liposuction.
Mesotherapy for Skin Rejuvenation
Using a Mesotherapuetic process known as Mesolift,
vitamin injections under the skin rejuvenate cells,
activating them metabolically and stimulating natural
collagen and elastin production. This process not only
reduces the appearance of existing wrinkles, but also
helps prevent new ones from forming. Mesolift can
help "age-proof" patients of any age -
some patients start in their mid-20s, others in the
60s or 70s. Approximately 4-6 consecutive treatments
on the face, neck, arms and hands are recommended tomaintain
the skin's youthful appearance, with a follow-up visit
once every three to four months.
